NEW Q FUND SCHOOL FOR ZAMBIA (February 2006)
From Chellie Kew, project founder

The Q Fund is planning construction of a high school for students in the Chimoza area. The total amount to build the second school in "Baluba" (the name of the local tribe) with electricity, running water and classes ranging from agriculture to game animals, high end carpentry  and of course traditional classes is along the lines of $60-$80k. The local community is being asked if they are open to supplying all the labor.
The Q Fund Chimoza School serves children orphaned by AIDS in the elementary grades. The Fund recently purchased adjoining land for a banana plantation to increase the project’s sustainability. This land is owned jointly by the Q fund and the local community, with proceeds being split for community development, school funding, and individual income for the community members who work on the plantation. SDI today sent a donation of $2000 to the Q Fund for their programs in Africa for children.
