ASOCIACIÓN VIVIR focuses on community health and well-being. The project covers three main areas: education, integrated health services and sustainable development projects. Vivir believes in motivating individuals and communities to take a more proactive approach to their healthcare.

Founded in 1987 by Eliana Mariana Galarza Garzón, the Association is looking forward and plans to work with the local government to provide family based care for the elderly, increase health promotion training, create educational materials and expand Vivir’s social networks.

Vivir’s book, “Child rearing Culture” (Cultura de Crianza), is being used by the government for the INNFA’s (Institute for Children and Familes) work and the Association has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a model in health promotion.
