Morningside C.A.R.E. (Child, Adult, Rehabilitation Endeavour) Inc. (MCI) is an incorporated association and a registered charity in New South Wales, Australia, with three primary activities.
MCI owns and operates Sine Cera Rainforest Retreat – a 200 acre venue accommodating up to 100 people. For over 25 years it has provided a sanctuary and healing place for anyone wishing to replenish themselves and enjoy the beauty of its natural environment. Sine Cera has hosted school groups, family reunions, weddings, charities, business meetings, yoga and meditation groups, religious groups, bushwalkers, creative workshops, health retreats, personal development programs, conferences, carer support groups, child-adult transition programs and much more. Sine Cera is also made available to other charities at significantly reduced rates.
Second, MCI is the registered Australian provider of the International Child Development Program (ICDP). The aim of ICDP is to enable children to reach their full potential by providing parents and caregivers with the knowledge and skills required to build and maintain safe, empathic, loving and trusting relationships with the children in their care. In Australia, the program has been delivered to thousands of prison inmates, rehabilitation centre patients and childcare teachers.
MCI also supports local and overseas projects with similar goals to those of MCI through volunteer support and fundraising amongst its membership.
